Our Commitment

RecipeCookingGuide is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to achieve this goal.

Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

What We Do

We use semantic HTML to ensure proper document structure for assistive technologies. All images include descriptive alt text. Our site supports keyboard navigation throughout. We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios for readability. Our forms include associated labels and clear error messages. We provide skip navigation links for screen reader users. Our responsive design works across devices and zoom levels up to 200%.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies: screen readers (including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver), screen magnification software, text-to-speech tools, and voice recognition software. We regularly test with these tools to ensure compatibility.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some content may not yet be fully accessible. User-submitted recipe photos may occasionally lack descriptive alt text. Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. Third-party embedded content (such as videos) may have varying levels of accessibility. We are actively working to address these issues.
